Our Team
Team ATTENT formed in May 2013 through the Gemstone Program, an honors research program under the University of Maryland Honors College. Consisting of ten undergraduate memebers and a faculty mentor, team ATTENT aims to complete a research project from conception to completion over a three year time period.
ATTENT stands for "ADHD Treatment Through Enhanced Nutrient Types." The research focuses on the effects of food additives on the behavioral and neurological symptoms of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).



News and Events

Team Thesis Proposal
On February 21, 2014 Team ATTENT successfully completed their thesis proposal. The proposal took place in front of a panel of Gemstone Department staff, the team's librarian, the team's mentor, and an expert in the field.Team ATTENT would like to thank Dr. Brian Bequette for serving as the expert for the panel.

Team Gemstone: Part 2
At the beginning of the Fall Semester Team ATTENT completed part 2* of the "Team Gemstone" program. This series of events allowed the team to bond and develop teamwork skills that will aid them in the research process. Along with the learning and team development, all team members had a lot of fun!
